Rusack's 2007 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills is exotic and complex, with tons of Asian spices, cumin, and dried herbs, plenty of darker fruit, medium-bodied richness and a charming, layered texture. It's beautifully textured and drinking at point.

Deep red. Seductive, nuanced aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, Asian spices, cocoa powder, rose and anise. Compellingly silky and sweet on entry, then vibrant and focused in the mid-palate, with a vibrant mineral quality lifting the flavors of crushed red berries, blood orange and gingerbread. The wine's zesty minerality gives it a weightless quality and the spice notes linger tenaciously.
The densest and most concentrated effort is the 2007 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard. Beautiful blueberry, black raspberry, black currant, graphite, licorice, and subtle smoke characteristics are followed by a full-bodied red displaying sweet tannins, beautiful density, and an exuberant, robust personality.
