(80% new French oak): Deep ruby. Powerful blackberry, cassis, vanilla and pipe tobacco scents are complemented by suggestions of sexy oak spices and succulent herbs. Intense palate-staining blackcurrant, boysenberry and cherry compote flavors show impressive depth and a smooth, velvety texture. Lingers with strong persistence on the youthfully tannic finish and leaves behind sexy Moroccan spice, cola and vanilla notes.

The 2015 Micho is a blend of 44% Merlot and 56% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep inky black in color, it offers lovely baked plums, chocolate box and spice cake notes with hints of blueberry pie and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and opulent, there’s still quite a lot of cedary chew in the mouth at this youthful stage, finishing with a pleasant spicy lift on the finish.

The Merlot dominated cuvée of the estate the 2015 Micho (56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Merlot brought up in 80% new French oak) offers a very pretty bouquet of plums, bay leaf, chocolate and cedar. It's elegant, silky and polished on the palate, with fine tannin. It's a beautiful, elegant wine. This estate was created in 2010 by brothers Daniel and Georges Daou, and it lies high up off Adelaida Road. Along with l’Aventure and Booker Vineyards, this estate is unquestionably leading the charge with regards to Bordeaux varieties in Paso Robles.

Dark purple. Smoky cassis, cherry compote and licorice aromas show very good clarity and pick up peppery spice and pipe tobacco flourishes with air. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering juicy dark berry and candied licorice flavors and a suggestion of allspice. Silky, seamless and nicely concentrated; the long, gently tannic finish features a hint of vanilla and lingering spiciness.
