2010 Ravenswood - Zinfandel Barricia Vineyard

(includes 23% petite sirah): Inky ruby. Musky Indian spices, dark berries and cherry compote on the powerfully scented nose and in the mouth. Becomes smokier and sweeter with air, picking up notes of candied licorice and mocha. A floral pastille note adds lift to the youthfully tannic finish, which clings with impressive tenacity and lingering smokiness.
