A blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot aged mostly in new oak, the 2016 Frontier Justice Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard comes from one of the gem vineyards in the valley, which I might add also excelled in the 2016 vintage. This deeply colored effort gives up voluptuous amounts of ripe cherry and currant fruits, ample spice, cedar, and incense nuances, a fleshy, full-bodied, sexy texture, and a great finish. A wine that packs some serious depth of fruit and intensity into a beautifully balanced, weightless package, this sensational juice can be drunk any time over the coming 2-3 decades.

The 2016 Red Blend Frontier Justice Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is soft, creamy and inviting, with all of the aromatic lift and brightness that are such signatures of wines from this St. Helena site. The high percentage (47%) of Franc in the blend adds to the wine's perfume and overall feel. Raspberry jam, mint and wild flowers are all impeccably balanced in this delicious, inviting wine from Bounty Hunter.
The 2016 Red Blend Frontier Justice Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep purple-black colored, it opens with notes of baked cherries, stewed plums and blueberry pie plus hints of sautéed herbs, scorched earth, fruitcake and hoisin. Full-bodied and laden with spicy baked berries flavors, it has a chewy texture and just enough freshness to lift the finish.
