2022 Oddero Barbera d'Asti Nizza

This wine from Oddero is new to me. Showing a depiction of the sun on the front label, the 2022 Nizza is indeed reflective of a hot and very dry vintage. The wine reveals a vibrant, dark purple color with loads of soft intensity. You get cocktail cherry, plum and a sweet note of candied chestnut or marron glacé. It ages in oak for 14 months, and 9,000 bottles were created.
