The1999 Padrone, is impressive. Its deep saturated blue/purple color is followed by aromas of crushed black fruits intermixed with licorice, mineral, and vanilla scents. The wine is dense, full-bodied, powerful, and tannic. It is only for those with patience. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2020.
