2010 MacPhail Family Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard

Vivid red. Powerful blackberry and cherry-cola aromas, with notes of cracked pepper, lavender and musky earth adding complexity. Dense and powerful but lively on the palate, offering gently sweet dark berry flavors lifted by a spicy element. The cola note comes back on the finish, which features fine-grained tannins and a late jolt of spicecake. This pinot benefits quite a bit from air.
