2011 Round Pond Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

(a selection of the best blocks): Bright red-ruby. Distinctly riper on the nose than the regular release, offering scents of plum, blackberry, flowers and licorice, plus a gravelly nuance. Juicy and energetic on the palate, showing good density of material but coming across as youthfully tight today. Red fruit flavors are complicated by graphite and mocha notes. Finishes juicy and persistent, with substantial dusty tannins.
