Note di degustazione
My favorite in the lineup is the 2016 Chardonnay Green Acres Vineyard, which comes all from the Old Wente clone of Chardonnay and was aged in 40% new barrels. Thrilling notes of stone fruits, tangerines, white flowers, and hints of citrus all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, rich, layered beauty that has awesome purity and depth of fruit. I love it today yet would give bottles another 6-12 months of bottle age after which it should drink brilliantly for at least 7-8 years.

The 2016 Chardonnay Green Acres is made up of 100% Old Wente clone, whole-cluster pressed and aged for 15 months in 50% new French oak with no malolactic fermentation. It comes charging out of the glass with bold tropical notions of green mango, guava and pineapple plus suggestions of brioche, beeswax, ginger ale and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, super intense, vibrant and with a fantastic racy line of freshness supporting the generous tropical flavors, it finishes long with a citrusy kick. 112 cases produced.
