A new wine in the range, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel Ridge is bursting with Howell Mountain character. Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, licorice and iron give the 2016 its super-distinctive personality. Then again, this is Howell Mountain, where the wines are intensely mineral, focused and brilliant. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Sentinel Ridge is the first vintage released from this vineyard. Deep garnet-purple colored, it's scented of garrigue, Black Forest cake, licorice and dark chocolate with tilled soil, yeast extract and tapenade with a waft of tobacco. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated and profound with firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long. 111 cases produced.
