1997 Venge Family Merlot Reserve

For the first time, Venge has turned out a 1997 Venge Family Reserve Merlot from Oakville. This wine spends 30 months in primarily new oak (75% in the case of the Merlot). There are 300 cases. Big, robust, intense, sweet vanilla, chocolate, and licorice aromas, along with thick, juicy black cherry and currant flavors are apparent in this full-bodied, powerful, supple Merlot.
