Note di degustazione
The 2004 Zinfandel Feeney Vineyard, which shows better than it did last year, exhibits some herbal notes, tart acids, medium to full body, but it still has a somewhat jagged, disjointed feel to it. I don’t suspect this wine is ever really going to age that well, but if you like it, drink it now. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

(14.9%) Bright ruby. Crushed dark berries, minerals and tar on the nose. Sweet, fat and high-toned, with boysenberry and raspberry flavors perked up by the addition of some alicante bouschet, which has the effect of adding acidity. Finishes with dusty, slightly dry-edged tannins. Not in the same quality league as the amazing 2003. Cabral used no new barrels for zinfandel in 2004, opting for two- and three-year-old pinot barrels instead.
