Note di degustazione
The 2021 Esprit de Tablas is youthfully inward and complex, with a burst of dusty rose, white pepper and lavender, crushed raspberries and wet stone. It washes across the palate with waves of ripe red and blue fruit, motivated by brisk acidity. Notes of licorice and tactile mineral tones saturate toward the close. A wall of fine-grained tannins clenches the palate with primary concentration, as violet inner florals and hints of lavender resonate on. The 2021 is full of potential, yet patience will be required.

The 2021 Esprit de Tablas is a blend of 35% Mourvèdre, 26% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 7% Vaccarèse, 5% Cinsaut and 4% Counoise. A touch shy from its recent bottling, it slowly unfurls scents of briar fruit, pipe tobacco, dried herbs and botanical tones, gaining in spicy expression as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate explodes with floral flavors! It has a gently chewy texture, fireworks of fresh acidity and a long, graphite-laced finish. Offer it a couple years in a bottle or some time in a decanter. 2,820 cases produced.
35% Mourvèdre, 26% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 7% Vaccarèse, 5% Cinsault, 4% Counoise from the estate. Components fermented separately using native yeasts in 1,500-gallon wooden upright fermenters and stainless-steel open-top tanks. Pressed after 10–14 days, then blended and moved into neutral oak. After blending in June 2022, aged in neutral 1,200-gallon foudres until bottling in August 2023. RS 2.3 g/l. 2,950 cases produced. Regenerative Organic Certified. Tasted blind. Medium ruby in colour. Dried herbs, red cherries and bitter chocolate on the nose. Bright and fresh on the palate with high acidity and superfine lightweight tannin. Lingering finish. In a flight of heavier-weight reds this goes down very easily – so lovely. (SCJ)
A perfumed blend of dusty rose, raspberry, lavender and wet stone forms an inviting bouquet as the 2021 Esprit de Tablas comes to life in the glass. It washes across the palate with juicy waves of ripe red and blue fruit, leaving a mineral staining in their wake. A primary concentration combines with sweet tannins, creating perfect punctuation for the experience. The 2021 Esprit de Tablas is built for the cellar.
