The 2005 Rully 1er Cru Meix Cadot Vieilles Vignes is another of the highlights of this tasting. Mingling aromas of pear and yellow orchard fruit with hints of warm bread, white flowers, anise and beeswax, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with an abundance of chalky structuring extract, lively acids and a long, resonant finish.
