2001 Serdonis Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit for this cuvee comes primarily from the Ink Grade Vineyard made famous by Behrens and Hitchcock. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Merlot, it exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a fresh, lively perfume of blueberries, blackberries, flowers, lead pencil shavings, and earth. With excellent density and richness in addition to a long finish, it is a beautifully knit, primary but promising Cabernet. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2018. Tel. (707) 732-1219
