Note di degustazione
Based on the 2022 vintage and enhanced by 50% reserve wines aged in a perpetual reserve initiated in 2004, Sélèque’s NV Extra Brut Solessence exudes a bouquet of ripe citrus, peach and freshly baked bread. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, broad and textural, with a generous core of fruit underpinned by ripe yet lively acidity, exhibiting a phenolic structure and an assertive bitterness on the finish. Vinified in equal parts stainless steel and oak, it was disgorged in August 2024 with a dosage of 1.5 grams per liter. The blend comprises nearly equal proportions of Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, with an additional 10% Pinot Noir.

A blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Meunier, and the remainder Chardonnay, the NV Champagne Solessence Extra Brut is crafted with the base of 2022 with perpetual reserve wine. In the glass, it boasts a straw/copper tinge and is savory with notes of salted grapefruit, oyster shells, a bit of wet pavement, cranberries, and fresh hay. Medium-bodied, the palate is juicy and inviting, with notes of white strawberry, a delicately frothy mousse, and a clean, supple silkiness on the finish. It was disgorged in August 2024 with a dosage of 1.5 grams per liter. I enjoy the way it is drinking now, and it can be enjoyed over the next several years.
Fruity and fragrant on the nose, with notes of orange zest, pear skins, apples and hazelnuts. Medium-bodied, juicy and very drinkable, with lemony acidity and a creamy mousse. 50% chardonnay, 40% meunier and 10% pinot noir, of which 50% reserve wines. Disgorged December 2022. 2g/L dosage. Drink now.
Slightly reductive and appley at first, this opens with chamomile, praline and grilled almonds. Medium-bodied and very tangy, this is a steely and compact Champagne with integrated bubbles. Drink now.
