Bright red. Sexy, intensely perfumed bouquet of raspberry, candied rose and potpourri, with a deeper anise nuance in the background. Spicy and energetic on the palate, offering sweet red fruit flavors and notes of floral pastilles and blood orange. Closes sweet and long, with lingering spiciness.

The 2009 Pinot Noir Maresh Vineyard was sourced from one of the Willamette Valley’s most distinguished sites, planted in 1970. Medium ruby red in color, it sports an inviting bouquet of exotic spices, incense, rose petal, cherry, and raspberry. It is a wine of terrific finesse that lasts for nearly a minute on the palate. It will be difficult to delay gratification but, if you have will-power, this pleasure-bent effort will deliver the goods for another 6-8 years. Kelly Fox’s daytime job is winemaker at Scott Paul (reviewed later in this report). Her most impressive credential is her stint working with the late David Lett at The Eyrie Vineyard. Tel.
