The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is soft, open-knit and gracious, with good depth, silky tannins and lovely fruit presence. The bright red cherry and pomegranate fruit typical of the Sleeping Lady Vineyard is front and center. This is a relatively soft 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon that will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain from Notre Vin is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. The supple, lush notes of blackcurrants and plums are beautiful. This elegant wine, made by proprietor Denis Malbec, was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak, but you’d never know it. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.
