The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, from Ladera Vineyards on Howell Mountain, is a big, polished wine. This extroverted Cabernet Sauvignon has more than enough fruit to fill out its broad shouldered frame. The Howell Mountain tannins are nearly buried under a wall of fruit. Hints of licorice and mint add nuance on the finish. Another few years in bottle can only help. This is yet another strong showing from Karen Culler.
