Note di degustazione
The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve is drinking beautifully today and has tons of Provencal charm. Loaded with darker cherry and berry fruits, crushed rock and garrigue scents and flavors, it's full-bodied and ripe on the palate, with plenty of mid-palate depth and sweet tannin. Tannin management was tricky in 2005, but this estate excelled and all of their cuvees have sweet tannin. Drinking at point, it's another wine that will hold nicely for another 4-6 years.

Dark red. Spicy strawberry and raspberry on the nose, with subtle garrigue, anise and dried floral scents adding interest. This is beautifully perfumed and sweet, with silky red fruit flavors and light, dusty tannins. Finishes with gentle grip and a strong echo of strawberry. An utterly classic rendition of Chateauneuf.
Deep ruby. Intensely spicy scents of vibrant blackberry, cassis and gingerbread. Round, warm and velvety in the mouth, showing ripe cherry and dark berry flavors with a hint of cured tobacco. The sweetness builds through the long, juicy finish. This has excellent fruit.
