The 2020 Chardonnay Quartz Creek Vineyard is a bright, vibrant wine. This fruit was picked between August 13 and 15, very early by any standard. Blocked malolactic fermentation adds to the wine's steely feel. Citrus peel, green apple, tangerine oil, flowers and light tropical notes all grace this delineated, polished Chardonnay. This is a decidedly linear style and a wine that will require a few years in bottle to be at its most expressive.

The 2020 Chardonnay Quartz Creek Vineyard is terrific. Bright and punchy, with good depth, the 2020 impresses with its terrific balance and class. Apricot, chamomile, spice, marzipan all open effortlessly. The 2020 was done with no malolactic fermentation, but aging on the lees lends quite a bit of texture. Bright floral and mineral accents lift the bright, energetic finish. This is such a distinctive wine.
