Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Nuns Canyon Vineyard Proprietary Red is medium garnet-purple colored and has a slowly evolving nose of cigar box, sandalwood, new leather and smoked meats scents over a core of crème de cassis, dried mulberries and blackberry pie with wafts of spice box and fragrant earth. Full-bodied and settling in to a lovely savory phase, the palate gives plenty of preserved fruit, exotic spice and savory layers with a plush frame and long finish. 299 cases produced.
