2008 Reynolds Family Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

(14.7% alcohol): Dark red-ruby. Musky, smoky, slightly port-like aromas of dark berries, licorice and mint. Fat, plush and sweet if a bit simple, offering a plump palate impression but limited nuance and shape. Some coffee and mocha torrefaction notes to go with the dark berries. A bit unrefined but with plenty of material. The tannins here are substantial, with their slight dryness accentuated by a faint green note.
