Punteggio 87-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2004
(the lieu-dit will be indicated on the label of the 2002 for the first time) Good red-ruby. Reduced aromas of dark berries, meat and leather. Sweeter and richer than the Vosne villages, which is from younger vines. (These vines, planted in very poor soil adjacent to Meo's holding in Vosne-Romanee Chaumes, yield very small grapes; the yield here was barely 20 hectoliters per hectare, according to Christian Faurois): Shows the finer tannins of so many Nuits examples from this vintage.
