Note di degustazione
The 2022 Pinot Noir Haakon Lenai Vineyard is detailed and pure on the nose. Raspberry and strawberry give way to nuances of nori, saline, licorice, tea leaves and mossy bark. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated, layered flavors and compelling spicy accents. It’s structured by finely astringent tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a long, dynamic finish.

Made from only Pommard and 667 clones, the 2022 Pinot Noir Haakon/Lenai Vineyard is a youthful jeweled magenta hue and has a great nose with pure notes of cherries, fresh rosemary, pine, anise, and candied flowers. The palate is fantastic, offering great pure crystalline clarity and focus. The wine has a rounded glycerol richness, but it takes things up another gear with its pristine feel and great finish. It has a lovely, refined feel all the way through and is long on the palate. It will drink well over the next 15 or more years. Fans of Purple Hands will want to check out the wines of Haakon/Lenai, a side project from Purple Hands’ founder and winemaker Cody Wright. Cody and his wife Marque own these vineyards, which are named for their children. The names may sound familiar, since Purple Hands also produces two wines from these same sites.
