The 2008 Red is an unusual blend of 39% Petit Verdot, 28% Cabernet Franc, 13% Malbec, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Merlot. It is a big, bold wine bursting at the seams with expressive red fruit, flowers and spices. The 2008 shows excellent depth and fine balance. Ideally it is best enjoyed over the next few years. Licorice, tobacco and spices wrap around the finish. This is a bit rustic but pleasing.
