1999 Legacy Winery Legacy Winery Red

The 1999 Legacy is Stonestreet's top proprietary wine (a blend of 70.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28.1% Merlot, and 1.6% Cabernet Franc). It possesses a Bordeaux-like profile (although it is fuller-bodied than most Bordeaux) with notes of cocoa, chocolate, black cherries, cassis, and liquid minerals. The wine is smoky, rich, and sweet on the attack, with firm tannin in the finish. This still young, unevolved red requires 3-4 more years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2018. Tel.
