The 2016 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown has a slightly more singular character with its sweet red fruits, mint, sous bois, and floral bouquet. It too is incredibly silky and polished on the palate, with integrated acidity and no hard edges. This is great vineyard on the Sonoma Coast and the 2016 was brought up in 50% new French oak.

The medium ruby-purple colored 2016 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard has a beguiling perfume of violets and red roses over a core of Black Forest cake and mulberries pus a touch of underbrush. Full-bodied, concentrated and decadently fruited, it gives a powerful expression with great harmony, featuring plush tannins and oodles of freshness to support the generous black fruits, finishing with great persistence. 658 cases produced.
