2008 Delectus Cuvée Julia

The 2008 Cuvee Julia, a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and small quantities of Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Malbec, is a very impressive effort. Its dense purple color is followed by abundant aromas of cassis, blackberries, cedar, licorice and spice. Full-bodied and opulent, it is ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. Barrel samples of the 2009 Petite Sirah and 2009 Syrah looked more fruit-forward, but pure with lots of character. Tel. (707) 255-1252
