Note di degustazione
Devoting land in Oakville to something other than Cabernet comes at a price that's reflected in the suggested pricing of O'Shaughnessy's 2020 Chardonnay. But it is an excellent wine, with lovely hazelnut and crème brûlée accents to the pineapple and lime fruit notes, a medium-bodied palate that balances generosity and tension and a long, silky-textured finish.

The 2020 Chardonnay Oakville is creamy, supple and beautifully layered. Winemaker Sean Capiaux has found a gorgeous stylistic middle ground that melds together texture with freshness. Stirring the lees adds body, while blocking the malolactic fermentation keeps the flavors bright. Lemon confit, baked apple tart, light tropical notes and a kick of French oak linger. Sadly, the Chardonnay is the only wine from O'Shaughnessy in 2020.
