(bottled in October of '07, like the Temblor; made from vines on a west-facing slope planted on well-drained stony loam soil) Good deep red. Strawberry and earth aromas along with an intriguing mineral component. Supple and sweet, with a lovely light touch for a wine with this much fullness and breadth. Elegant and complex pinot, with firm minerality contributing definition. This is from a Martini selection, which Priest says yields a sappy style of pinot.

More full-bodied and tannic than its mates; black raspberry, blueberry, graphite, cola, spicy oak; slightly astringent and herbal. Should settle with cellaring. (LM)
More backward with higher acids as well as more noticeable tannins than the Temblor, the 2005 Pinot Noir Deer Camp possesses a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to a tight, earthy, pomegranate, and mineral-dominated bouquet.
