The 2010 Clos de Vougeot is brilliant. The late harvest on October 4 seems to have softened the firm tannins that are typical of this site. Gracious and effortless, the Clos de Vougeot caresses the palate with beautifully expressive fruit supported by veins of minerality that give the wine its energy and focus. This is a gorgeous Clos de Vougeot and a standout in 2010. (AG)

This is a gorgeous Clos de Vougeot and a standout in 2010. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035. Once again I tasted with the entire team at Remoissenet, including President Pierre Rovani, General Manager Bernard Repolt, Winemaker Claudie Jobard and Vineyard Manager Fred Le Prince. Remoissenet continues to ratchet up the quality of their reds. Given the house’s preference for texturally rich wines, the cool 2010 vintage provided attractive balancing elements here.
