Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2023-2029, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2023

The 2019 Chardonnay Far Coast Vineyard captures all the magic of this site at 1,000 feet in elevation at the north of the West Sonoma Coast, near Annapolis. Elevation, exposure and Goldridge soils over a bed of Franciscan yield a nervy, saline Chardonnay endowed with terrific energy. This bright, focused Chardonnay is one of the highlights in this range from Hartford.

Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2024-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Aug 2022

This vineyard is located on a mountain ridge north of Fort Ross on the Sonoma Coast at 700 feet elevation, and the wine was aged for 14 months in 39% new French oak. The 2019 Chardonnay Far Coast Vineyard offers more lime citrus, saline minerality, and white peach, and the palate is fresh, energetic, and consistent with the nose. Texture-wise, it is markedly different, with more focused structure and tension. Drink 2024-2034. A part of the Kendall-Jackson family, Hartford Court was established by Don and Jennifer Hartford, whose first vintage was 1994. They began with two vineyard designated wines, and today they have expanded to include 36 single vineyard wines, dedicated to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel. Jeff Stewart, the general manager and winemaker since 2011, and Tiaan Lordan, who has been with the estate since 2010, share the role as winemakers today.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2023-2033, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Jul 2022

The 2019 Chardonnay Far Coast Vineyard comes from vines planted on a mountain ridge north of Fort Ross on the Sonoma coast. It was barrel fermented and matured for 14 months in 39% new French oak. It is bursting with aromas of white peaches, tangerine, ginger and honeycomb, with exotic spicy undertones. The medium-bodied palate is satiny, expansive and intense, with tangy acidity that pulls out highlights of candied citrus and an array of spicy accents. It has a very long, textural finish and loads of personality! 245 cases were made.
