2004 Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

(14.2% alcohol): Healthy medium red-ruby color. Musky aromas of blackberry, mocha, roast coffee, truffle and game. Juicy and alive but with a fairly dominant greenness--even a vegetal quality--limiting its appeal. Tannins are broad and even but distinctly drier than those of the Dancing Bear Ranch bottling.
