Note di degustazione
Glass-staining purple. Deeply pitched aromas of ripe dark berries, incense, pipe tobacco and vanilla are lifted by a smoky Indian spice nuance. Sappy, velvety and open-knit, with palate-staining black and blue fruit, floral pastille and mocha flavors given spine by zesty acidity. Closes smooth and extremely long, with slow-building, harmonious tannins and intense echoes of dark fruit liqueur and woodsmoke.

Another blockbuster is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Incorporating 4% Petit Verdot, it offers telltale notes of currants, tobacco leaf, graphite and spring flower in its classic Cabernet style. Full-bodied and decidedly energetic and lively, with good acidity, it's another 2013 from Stephan that possesses a wallop of tannin in its structured, yet balanced and age-worth profile. It should be at its best from 2018-2028+.
The 2013 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep, implosive wine built on serious depth and concentration. Grilled herbs, tobacco and cedar are some of the many notes that burst from the glass in this full-bodied, exotic Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, the new barrels are a bit noticeable, but that should be less of an issue once the wine has completed its aging.
