Note di degustazione
Vivid ruby-red. Dark berries, cherry, black tea and licorice on the deeply perfumed nose. The most masculine of this year's set of pinots here, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors and a hint of dark chocolate. Shows brighter red fruits on the penetrating, youthfully tannic finish, which is sweetened by notes of vanilla and candied rose.

Just bottled yesterday, the 2012 Pinot Noir Abbey Harris Vineyard is understantably a bit tightly wound. Still, the wine's characteristic slightly earthy, brambly qualities come through in the glass. The 2012 offers lovely depth and persistence, but it is also a bit less polished from a flavor perspective than some of the other wines in the range. The firm tannins are going to need another 6-12 months to start softening.
