Moving to the reds, the 2018 Cabernet Franc Sugarloaf Vineyard is 100% varietal and comes from a site on Atlas Peak. It was bottled unfiltered and unfined. A wonderful nose of redcurrants, blueberries, and black cherries intermixed with tobacco, dried herbs, flowery incense, cedar, and earth gives way to a medium to full-bodied Cabernet Franc with a wonderful sense of balance, nicely integrated acidity, and silky tannins. Pairing elegance with building richness as well as terrific overall balance, this sensational Cabernet Franc can be drunk today or cellared for 15 years.
