Disgorged in March 2019 with 5.5 grams per liter dosage, the Pinot Meunier-based NV Extra Brut Éclats de Meulière mingles aromas of Meyer lemon and honeycomb with hints of freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, bright and racy, it's a pure, tensile wine built around a lively spine of acidity.

From the hillsides of the Valée du Petit Morin, Cyril Jeaunaux's NV Brut Nature Éclats de Meulière (previously called Sélection Zéro Dosage) is an assemblage of Pinot Meunier (60%), Pinot Noir (30%) and Chardonnay (10%) grown on chalky clay soils mixed with marl and small flint. From vines averaging 45 years of age, this golden-yellow colored wine offers pure, earthy, very elegant fruit on the nose, intermixed with some iodine notes. Light and fresh on the palate, with a remarkable citrus juice flavor on the finish, this is a lean, elegant and fine cuvée from the Marne Valley that goes well as an aperitif and with raw fish. Disgorged (most likely) in November 2017, tasted far too young in April 2018. The wine is improving enormously in the opened bottle!
Dosaged with 5.5 grams per liter, the NV Éclats de Meulière Extra-Brut is the same wine like the Sélection Zéro Dosage, but with dosage. Ripe Chardonnay, lees and brioche flavors in the nose lead to an elegant and more fruity-flavored palate; it has charming fruit, good minerality and a slightly tannic structure. Well balanced.
