Note di degustazione
Lots of cassis, lead pencil, green tobacco, and lavender notes emerge from the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard. It’s a full-bodied, ripe, yet balanced, and lively Cabernet that knocks it out of the park on all accounts. With terrific concentration, remarkable purity and elegance, building tannins, and a still youthful style, it actually reminds me more of a 2013 than a 2012. You can safely drink bottles any time over the coming two decades or so.

Dark blue and purplish fruit, smoke, licorice and cloves are all laced together in the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch. A plump, juicy Cabernet, the Kenefick Ranch is built on texture and openness. The warmth of this Calistoga site comes through in spades in a supple, ripe, beautifully perfumed Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next decade or so.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Kenefick Ranch Vineyard is fleshy and ripe. This is pure red and blackcurrant liqueur, mixed with licorice, lavender and background subtle spice box. This wine is full-bodied, soft, delicious and best drunk over the next 7-8 years. It’s hard to resist at present.
