Note di degustazione
Bright saturated ruby. Cassis and licorice aromas are lifted by a violet topnote; less oaky in the early going than the Winston Hill red wine. A step up in intensity too, offering a generous creamy texture and excellent breath to its rather open-knit flavors of currant, black cherry and spices. Finishes with a soft dusting of sweet tannins and slowly building length.

Another attractive, juicy offering, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford Reserve jumps from the glass with blackberries, blueberries, cloves, menthol, licorice and tar. This is one of the more overt, jammy 2010 Cabernets I have tasted. Layers of fruit build to the juicy, opulent finish. There are few, if any, real signs of the cool vintage here.
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Rutherford displays a dense ruby/purple color, and a slightly more intense and nuanced set of aromatics, and the wine cuts a broader and deeper swath across the palate than it’s sibling. Deep, rich and full-bodied with a Pauillac-like combination of black currant liqueur and cedarwood, this is a beautiful example of Rutherford Cabernet that should drink nicely for 15-20 years. Tel.
