Note di degustazione
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is slightly more mature, with complex currant, flowery incense, tobacco, spice box, and chocolate-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, with plenty of mid-palate depth as well as beautiful tannins, this opens up with air and has 15+ years of longevity ahead of it.

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is one of the firmer, more explosive wines in Mark Carter's range. Insistent veins of tannin run through the fruit in a powerful, structured wine built on energy and power. Plums, blackberry jam, spices and new leather are some of the notes that build to the huge, palate-staining finish.
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard The Grand Daddy is sweet, concentrated and packed with crème de cassis, blueberry, spring flower and graphite characteristics. Full-bodied, opulent, stunningly rich and layered, this majestic wine should provide immense pleasure over the next 15+ years.
Bright ruby. Terrific claret-like vinosity to the complex, expressive aromas of cassis, black cherry, bitter chocolate, espresso, licorice and spicecake. Supersweet, rich and plush, with highly concentrated dark berry, spicecake, chocolate and sexy oak flavors given good definition by ripe acidity. Finishes with a broad dusting of supple tannins and outstanding length. Deceptively showy today, this wine has the guts to reward a decade of aging.
