Note di degustazione
(14.5% alcohol): Dark red. Black cherry, menthol and licorice on the nose, plus a weedy hint and a note of tobacco leaf. A fairly smooth midweight, with redcurrant and dusty earth flavors dominating. A bit sour-edged and dry on the finish, in need of more pliancy.

The sort of wine that can get overlooked. It’s not jammy and plush enough to thrill that crowd, yet not “Bordeaux” enough to please that group. In the long run, it may be the ideal Napa Cabernet style, with plenty of concentrated, perfectly ripe fruit, notes of cedar, fresh herbs and brown spice, firm yet supple tannins, refreshing acidity and a structure that allows for both immediate enjoyment and some improvement in the cellar.
