This has extremely fine-grained tannins with intensity, depth and beauty. Full-bodied, tight and reserved. Needs time to show its all. Try after 2024.

As to the 2016s made by Benoit, I have a slight preference for these, yet we're splitting hairs, as both vintages are incredibly strong. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Duration is brilliant and offers a kaleidoscope of currants, spring flowers, graphite, cedar box, and forest floor. Silky and full-bodied, with sweet tannins, it stays light, balanced, and graceful, with a layered style that's absolutely impossible to resist. The 2016 is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, sourced from the To Kalon and Missouri Hopper vineyards, and was fermented and aged in 600-liter French oak Bure Family Wines was started in 2006 with the release of two wines, one a Bordeaux blend from To Kalon and Missouri Hopper, and the other a straight Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate vineyard, which sits next to Vineyard 29. The first few vintages were made by Luc Morlet, with Benoit Touquette taking over the winemaking in 2016.
