The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is quite restrained for this site, a vineyard where wines tend to exhibit a bit more mid-palate richness and overall intensity. In the 2018, To Kalon is expressed more as a wine of energy and tension. Time in the glass brings out a range of classic To Kalon inky fruit along with a good deal of floral and savory nuance. I won't be surprised if the 2018 turns out even better than this note suggests.
