Note di degustazione
Lots of blueberry, licorice and lavender aromas and flavors. Full body, firm and lightly austere tannins and a medium finish. A bit tight and tannic now but should develop nicely in the bottle. Give it two or three years of bottle age.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Element 28 has richer, more creamy blackberry and cassis-scented nose, a dense purple color, beautiful texture, richness, ripeness and a long, long finish. This is impressive, and while it needs 5-7 years of cellaring, it should age well for 30 or more years.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Element 28 is the most open and accessible of these 2013s, in relative terms, of course. Black cherry jam, hard candy, menthol, cloves and new leather build to the juicy, opulent finish. The tannins need time to settle, but Element 28 should be one of the first 2013s here to drink well. This is the first vintage I have tasted the Element 28, a young vineyard just on the northern edge of Lake Hennessey planted by proprietor Erik Nickel in 2009.
