Note di degustazione
Good full red. Musky aromas of strawberry and coffee. Fat, round and mouthfilling, if in a distinctly dry style. Shows more soil character than primary fruit flavor. Finishes with slightly dry-edged tannins.

The 2003 Pinot Noir 7 Mules Vineyard is an elegant, low-key, restrained, feminine, shy style of Pinot Noir, especially compared to the Reserve. The wine exhibits nice pomegranate and currant notes, a somewhat understated personality, and a clean, crisp finish. This wine is similar to a Cote de Beaune and probably best drunk over the next 4-5 years. Tel. (707) 525-0570; Fax (707) 525-9463

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
