Cask sample. Smooth, creamy and concentrated on the palate. Typical velvety Pinot tannin, crisp acidity. Oak in the background but will settle in time. Worthy of the grand cru label. (AWH)

A ripe and expansive nose freely offers up its aromas of plum, violet, warm earth and a pretty array of spice elements. There is once again a really lovely texture to the larger-scaled flavors that retain both good energy and delineation on the moderately austere, sappy and firmly structured finish that displays excellent length. 91-94
