The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine Estate reminds me of a solid Margaux with its classic Cabernet character paired with a more elegant, floral, complex style. Blackcurrants, spring violets, gravelly earth, charcoal, and graphite notes all emerge from the glass, and it's nicely concentrated and medium-bodied, with a touch of firm tannins and a good finish.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine is a deep, resonant wine. Black cherry, licorice, chocolate, menthol, spice and new leather are all given an extra kick of intensity in this racy, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon. Pliant, creamy and expansive with terrific depth, the 2017 is super-expressive and inviting. Hints of rose petal, mint and raspberry fruit add final touches of complexity.
Blended with 7% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine gives scents of baked berries, fruitcake and cigar box with notions of cedar, pencil lead and fried herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, chewy and hollow, with a hard finish.
This is a solid 2017 with dark berries, wet bark and hints of wet earth. Full body, firm and chewy tannins and an intense finish. Old-vine magic in this year.
