The 2014 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard is a huge, bombastic wine. Ample, rich and explosive, the 2014 is certainly not lacking intensity. This is an especially flamboyant style. Readers who like big Pinots will find much to admire, but there is not a whole lot of subtlety here. The drought and low yields of the vintage have distorted the shape of the wine.
