The 2014 Doisy-Daëne has an attractive nose with petrol-tinged honeyed fruit, orange blossom and wax resin. Like its peers, there is something a little Germanic here. The palate is very well balanced with a pure entry. The acidity slices through the botrytised fruit, with touches of peach and ginger towards the finish. Fine. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Mid gold. Deep aroma of almond paste and apricots, spicy too. Viscous, intense, rich and very sweet but still balanced. Masses of almond-paste flavour and great harmony between richness and freshness. (JH)
85% Sémillon, 14.5% Sauvignon Blanc, 0.5% Muscadelle. Tasted blind. Creamy and round. Quite evolved nose and with an edge of acidity. But actually on the palate it seems still very youthful. Barley-sugar flavours. Lots of fun. (JR)
The 2014 Doisy-Daëne has a fragrant bouquet with dried honey, almond, peach skin and orange blossom aromas that gently unfold with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and poised with a captivating undercurrent of mineralité that surfaces towards the finish and counters the richness of this finely made Sauternes. Le origini di questa tenuta di Second Growth risalgono alla fine del 1800. Tuttavia, è sotto la proprietà della famiglia Dubourdieu, che rilevò la proprietà di Barsac nel 1924, che Ch. Doisy-Daëne raggiunse il suo vero splendore.
